MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) are the backbone of India’s economy. Over 6 crore MSMEs operate in various parts of India in the manufacturing, services and trading segment. MSMEs contribute about 30% to India’s GDP and almost half of the exports from India. The attached presentation gives a flavour on MSME registration benefits and certain key schemes.
Criteria for classification of MSME

02 | A small Enterprise | Investment in plant and machinery or equipment; And Turnover | Does not exceed ten crore rupees (<Rs. 10 Crore) does not exceed five crore rupees (<Rs. 50Crore) |
03 | A Medium Enterprise | Investment in plant and machinery or equipment; And Turnover | Does not exceed ten crore rupees (<Rs. 50 Crore) does not exceed five crore rupees (<Rs.250Crore) |
